About MeI am a product of Cobb County, Georgia. I was born at Kennestone Hospital, attended Cobb County Schools, and graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna in 1983. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 1988 with a Bachelor Degree in English Education (of course, way back then, it was known as Kennesaw College). I hold a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and a Ph.D. in Education.
I started teaching in Cobb County in 1988, taught at McEachern High School for 16 years, at Harris County High School for 3.5 years, and this is my 14th year at Harrison High School. I also worked as a technical writer for 2.5 years when my family and I lived in Florida. I am married, and I have two married daughters and five grandchildren. I am owned by 8 pampered cats and 2 spoiled dogs. In my spare time I like to read. I like science fiction/fantasy, cozy mysteries, post-apocalyptic novels, historical fiction, crime thrillers, and romance novels. I also enjoy writing fiction and poetry. Musically, I enjoy listening to Christian music, country music, and classic rock music, with an occasional detour into reggae, bluegrass, and zydeco. |
