Review Participles with Participles_lesson_e.pdf; then go over Midsummer Eve.pptx.
Then, look at the explanation of Absolutes (Absolute Brushstroke.pptx, in the Grammar folder on the Google drive).
 
Follow the directions in the presentation to create a base sentence and then rewrite it with absolutes.

U2L4A1 Applying a Critical Perspective 
​Read about the summative assignment on page 241 of your text and look at the rubric titled Applying a Critical Perspective Rubric.pdf it is attached to assignment U2L4A1 and on the Google drive (it can be found in the Springboard Text – Unit 2 Videos & Handouts folder).
 
Read the two stories on pages 243-248 of your text and select the ONE you feel most comfortable with (Applying a Critical Perspective Text pp 241-248.pdf). Then, write an analytical essay applying the Feminist Critical Perspective to the short story you have selected.
 
In your essay, identify the messages that story conveys to the reader when the Feminist Critical Perspective is applied, using cited evidence from the text to develop your points. You MUST include a bibliographic citation for the text you have chosen on the last page of your essay.
 
Submit your essay to Turnitin.com by midnight on Wednesday, February 24.
