U1L5A4 Comma Rules 4-6
Review comma rules 4-6 presented in the Comma Rules SP21.pdf and complete exercises 1 AND 2 on the grammar worksheet. If you are not in class, you may check your answers with a classmate or make an appointment to go over your answers with the teacher. These assignments are a review tool – they will not be submitted for a grade (but you WILL be expected to use commas correctly in your writing, so it is important that you know how).
U1L5A2 Beowulf Details Chart
Open your Beowulf Details Chart and Beowulf Text.pdf (in the Anglo-Saxons folder on the Google drive).
In the PDF, read “The Coming of Beowulf,” which begins on page 4 of the pdf and record details from the text onto your details charts. You MUST get the symbolism of Beowulf from this section of the text.
Then, go to the online Beowulf text (https://www.bpi.edu/ourpages/auto/2017/9/13/42764661/beowulf__raffel_translation_.pdf)
and read section 5, taking notes in the appropriate sections of the Beowulf Details Chart. Make sure your citations are formatted correctly.
